Started as a social cause in 2015, Paakhi, the social initiative of MindSpark, has aimed to help women embrace their true potential.
Through Paakhi, we intend to innovate, strategize, and execute measures that will touch a million lives and inspire a sense of responsibility towards the world at large. We aim to create a ripple effect that will grow with each edition of MindSpark. From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period in history where the world expects balance between genders. So here’s to making a difference!
If women are expected to perform the same work as men, we must teach them the same skills. With this purpose in mind, and to commemorate Women’s Day, MS enthusiastically collaborated with Deep Griha Society, an independent charitable organization, to teach women in slum areas the proper usage of mobile phones and technology in today’s world. Step by step, MindSpark aims to strengthen the foundation of technical literacy for a better future.
Under Paakhi and in collaboration with Robin Hood Army and Prashanti Cancer Care, MindSpark conducted a breast cancer detection workshop in various slum areas of Pune. Individuals diagnosed with the disease were provided with free treatment.
In hopes of assisting underprivileged communities, Paakhi—a social initiative founded by MindSpark—conducted a 'Health and Hygiene During Menstruation' awareness campaign at PMC School, Hadapsar, on March 12th. The schoolgirls were educated about personal hygiene, the problems associated with inadequate nutrition during menstruation, and were provided with sanitary pads to promote good hygiene practices. MindSpark urges everyone to break the silence and help build awareness about menstrual health and hygiene.
