HACKATHON 8.0

We're back with the 8th edition of the MindSpark Hackathon! Join us as creators and innovators unite to showcase ideas and make an impact at this premier tech fest. Join the ultimate tech showdown at Mindspark 24—where innovation ignites, ideas soar, and groundbreaking solutions come to life!

EVENT OBJECTIVE

This is a 24-hour hackathon to code, strategize and innovate some ingenious solutions to the most sought out real-life problem statements.

STRUCTURE

1. Problem Statement Declaration:

Final problem statements will be released a few days before the Tietoevry Hackathon. Participants will have to choose one problem statement from the options offered. The problem statement will contain a basic idea of what the participants will be working on.

2. Informative Session:

Before the Tietoevry Hackathon starts, there will be an informative session (Google Meet) for the participants to get a better idea of Tietoevry Hackathon rules and problems. Doubts related to Tietoevry Hackathon will be resolved at the end of this meet.

3. 24-hour Tietoevry Hackathon:

All the participating teams will work round-the-clock on their chosen problem statements for a period of 24 hours, starting right after the informative session on 18th October 2024. At the end of the allotted time, the teams will give the final presentations in front of the judges.

Registration for Tietoevry Hakathon is limited to first 40 teams only.

4. TEAM SIZE :

Maximum 4 participants per team.

5. REGISTRATION FEE :

₹499 per team.

Rules

1. Problem Statements & Solutions:

Teams will be given 3-5 problem statements to choose from and develop a solution within the 24-hour time period. The solution may consist of a desktop app, web app, mobile app, data visualization, or a design prototype.

2. Application Development:

Participants should develop an application of their choice to best fit the solution of the given problem statement. Mentors will connect with the teams online to assist them and monitor their progress during the Tietoevry Hackathon.

3. Presentation & Judging:

Every team must individually explain their product to the mentors and give a final presentation to the judging panel. The winner will be chosen based on this presentation.

4. Verification:

Participants must present their registration receipts and college ID before the Tietoevry Hackathon begins.

5. Rule Changes:

Rules may be changed without prior notice. Participants should regularly check the official MindSpark’24 website (www.mind-spark.org) for updates.

6. Decision Making:

Winners will be chosen at the discretion of the organizers. In case of any disputes, the decision of the organizers and judges will be final and binding.

Any student (UG and/or PG) with a valid college ID card and a receipt of registration may participate.

Everybody has a first time. We encourage first-timers to participate in the TIETOEVRY HACKATHON and get first-hand experience in building a real-life product.

Yes, participants from different colleges/institutions may form a team. However, one participant may not be a part of different teams for the same event.
