Debate is a process that involves formal discourse on a particular topic, often including a moderator and audience. Through this, students get the opportunity to work in a collaborative and cooperative group setting & develop their communication and listening skills. This will also help students learn through friendly competition, examine controversial topics and “strengthen skills in the areas of leadership, interpersonal influence, teambuilding, group problem solving, and oral presentation”.
